Hacking Ethics

In this I learnt about hacking ethics. I learnt about the morality of hacking; what we should and shouldn’t do. In this video I play the part of a hacker; Trevor plays the part of reason. He teaches about the mistake I’m making by hacking, because I could get in a lot of trouble.

It also helped me work with a partner. I improved my communication skills and my work ethic. Trevor and I spent many hours working on a script. We soon found out our original script wouldn’t work, so we had to redo the entire script.

We had to rehearse our finished script a few times so we’d know what we’re doing. Trevor also has a chance to improve his editing skills. He learnt how to edit things to the request of other people. I also learnt how to be more specific when I ask for things. So in the end Trevor and I learnt a lot about Hacking Ethics and more.

Bowling Scorekeeper

In this assignment, I learned how to make different pages in React Native. I added it onto an existing project I did, then I improved it. I had difficulty with it, but then I simplified it; by doing it in steps.

The problem I had with it was it was all unorganized. So then the code didn’t work, and it was hard to fix. So I had to restart, and redo it. It was too bad, because I didn’t do much work, besides trying to fix it.

I started with organizing all the view tags, then doing the styling. I then added in the functionality. I then added in the finishing touches, and it worked as intended. I’m happy I took time to restart, for I wouldn’t have been able to finish it; if the code was unorganized.

Junior Year Academics and Shop Related

During academics we go through a database and enter in commands to sort through it. We typically use a base of SELECT, FROM, and WHERE statements, but sometimes we use JOIN when we need to combine two tables together. The Databases we use are realistic, they simulate real life databases. They simulate Pet Stores or an Apartment complex, so it helps give us an idea of who uses them, and what information they would contain.

Game Design

In game design I’ve been taking classes provided by unity. I have been learning the basics of 3D game design. I learned how to add in items, make them move, and interact with each other using physics and collision.

SQL Assignment

We have learned two things in our Junior year of high school. We have learned SQL which manages Databases, and Unity which is a Video game engine. We usually learn SQL during academic related, and unity during Shop Related.

Integrated Project

For our senior year, we did a unit in related where we learned about buisinesses. It was similar to a thing we did last year where we made Business Plan. It was interesting to learn about this, because it does help because business is a huge part of Computer Science.

We learned about Buisiness Ethics, Business Meeting Etiquette, Sustainability, Different Types of Contracts and many more. We were assigned slides that had links to articles and videos. After that we would take a quick quiz, then add the new info we learned to a News Letter we made in Canva.

It was neat unit we did, I learned about fiscal responcability, and how to behave in a business setting. I also had fun working on the News Letter we made, and the research we did was interesting to me.
